A child is being groomed, pressured or blackmailed online

Specialist services can intervene, help remove images and support the child. Police should be involved when a child is at risk.

If a child is in danger now, call your local emergency number.
Choose a country below to see the number we have checked for it. There is no single number that works everywhere.

What to do

  1. If the child could be in danger now, call the emergency number first.
  2. Do not pay or send anything more. Paying rarely ends blackmail.
  3. Keep the messages and the account names. Do not delete the conversation, but do not forward any images.
  4. Report the account on the platform where it happened, then to one of the services below.
  5. Tell the child clearly that it is not their fault, and stay with them.

Take It Down

A free service that helps remove or stop the online sharing of nude, partially nude or sexually explicit images or videos taken of you before you were 18. It creates a digital fingerprint of the image on your own device, so you do not send the image to anyone, and you can stay anonymous. It works on public or unencrypted platforms that have agreed to take part.
