For professionals
For teachers, social workers, health staff, youth workers, researchers and people working at technology companies.
If a child discloses harm to you
Follow your organisation's safeguarding or child protection procedure and involve your designated lead. If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency number. If you come across sexual images of a child, do not copy, save or forward them; follow your procedure and report the location to the appropriate hotline. Our Report a Concern pages list the services for each country we cover.
KIFOV cannot take referrals about individual children and does not replace statutory services.
Using our help directory
You are welcome to point children and families to Get Help. Each listing shows when we last checked it; for anything important, confirm the details on the service's own site. If you find a mistake or know a service we should add, please tell us.
Using our research
Our publications are free to read and to cite. Please cite the page URL and the date shown on it. Where we rely on research by others, we link to the original, and we ask you to cite the original too.
For technology companies and platforms
When our work examines a product or service, we contact the company before publication and publish its response. If you want to correct something we have published, or tell us about changes to your safety features, write to us.
Working with us
We want to hear from people with expertise in child protection, safeguarding, law, research methods and online safety, especially outside English-speaking countries, where our help directory most needs to grow. See Support our work.
