The KIFOV Charter
Seven commitments that govern everything KIFOV publishes, builds and does. They come before growth, headlines and our own reputation.
Children first
When a child’s safety conflicts with anything else (a story, a deadline, traffic, our reputation) the child wins.
Do no further harm
We never publish anything that could identify a child who has been harmed, and never anything that could help someone harm a child.
Evidence always
Every fact we publish is linked to its source. We say what is known, what is not, and how sure we are. Today: 29 sources cited, 29 primary.
No one above scrutiny
We examine the largest platforms and the smallest apps by the same standard, give them the right to reply, and publish what they say.
Help that is real
We point people only to services we have checked on their official sites, and show the date of every check. Today: 32 services in 6 countries.
Independent
No company, funder or government reviews our work before it is published.
Mistakes in the open
Every substantive correction is recorded on the page it changes. We would rather be right late than wrong first.
